Can you believe it, 1 whole year of Escapism!

On the 23^rd of May, Escapism Plymouth celebrated our first birthday, 1 year since we opened the doors and became your best rated escape room in Plymouth (According to Tripadvisor May 2023).

We’ve seen it all, from young to old(er), from Stag and hen do’s to team building, Birthdays to anniversaries, and our favourite of all – everyone just wanting to give it a go!

Birthday News:

For the day of our birthday we are donating half of our revenue to charity, and are pleased to announce we are donating a massive £400 to Devon and Cornwall furniture re-use project, so a big thank you to everyone that booked on the day and helped us raise such a large amount of money.

But this isn’t the only thing we’ve done this year:

Rooms hosted: 5372!

Most popular room: The Missing, we have run it over 1500 times!

Awards: Green tourism Bronze accreditation

Customers through the doors: 20,647

We look forward to seeing what happens in our second year now that we have so many new friends and return customers, we love seeing your faces again and again!

Our team have enjoyed some great feedback from all the escape teams that walk in (and hopefully out of) our doors, let’s see some of our favourites!

Our visit to Escapism was so much fun! Corey was so helpful in explaining everything and making sure we had the best experience we could. The puzzles were clever and well planned and the elements of the room were all really fun! The room we picked was challenging and even though we didn’t solve it, we had an amazing time. I love that Corey suggested a different room we might like for next time based on how we did this time - we’ll definitely be back and will try out Forge!

Having booked a room for 6 12 yr olds plus 1 adult, i can highly recommend, from booking, to experience on the day these guys made my daughters birthday. Special shout out to JJ, who had the perfect balance of keeping the girls interacted, but keeping it fun. At one stage we had a very nervous participant, but after word of wisdom from JJ and a mini tweek she got stuck in! The clues are very well thought out. I will definitely be back. Thank you team. Was so fun. Definitely should go if you’re thinking about it ! Will definitely be going back again. Our game host Lewis was very good at helping with clues if we needed and the guy introducing us to the room made it super fun and exciting.

An awesome sixty minutes spent solving clues so that we could escape in time for the six nations…..we managed it with 3 minutes to spare…phew. Thanks to Escapism’s Tash for putting us novices at ease before we abandoned the outside world for 60 minutes. We all enjoyed deciphering the information we were provided in order to escape. We would highly recommend releasing your inner Sherlock at Escapism.

 So from all the team here at Escapism Plymouth, thank you for being such a big part of our first year!
